Unlimited Urban Woods

The never-ending forest in the middle of the city!

For one month between may 28th and June 28th, the 'Unlimited Urban Woods' temporary pavilion opened its doors at the Oosterdokskade, Amsterdam. A space with its own horizon, to flee the city, in the middle of town. One tree in a mirror pavilion reflected into an endless forest. You could enjoy it by yourself, or even better, together..

Visitors of the New Amsterdam Public Library could disappear in an urban forest. A 4-meter high pavilion, which housed one single tree, made this possible. Mirror walls inside the temporary pavilion created the illusion of an endless forest. The Unlimited Urban Woods pavilion was part of the festival 'Liefde in de Stad' (Love in the City). Paradiso (known Dutch concert hall- club and cultural center) initiated the art manifestation and commissioned DUS to design a love-provoking art piece in the public domain of Amsterdam.
